Dried Mee Poh with Bean Curd and Fish Cake

This dish is easily prepared, please try.

Ingredients:

1. Broad Noodle  x 140g
2. Bean curd x 100g (pre-cut)
3. Shitake Mushroom x 100g  (pre-cut)
4. Fish Cake x 100g
5. Water x 1300ml
6. Salt x 1/2 tsp
7. Chilli Sauce x 1 tbsp
8. Chilli sauce x 1 tbsp


Procedure:

A.  Prepare the broad noodles
      1. Boil the 400ml of water in a pot
      2. Put the noodles into the pot
      3. Turn off the stove & drain the water away when the shanghai noodle has softened
      4. Place in a bowl for the laksa gravy

B   Prepare the laksa gravy
     1. Boil the 600ml of water in a pot
     2. Add chilli sauce & chilli paste into the boiling water
     3. Add dried bean curd, cabbage & bean sprouts into the pot
     4. Cook for about 10 mins
     5. Add in coconut milk & salt and cook for another 10 mins at low heat
     6. Turn off the stove

C  Combine the shanghai noodle & laksa gravy
     1. Pour the laksa gravy into the bowl of shanghai noodle
     2. Food is ready to serve

Preparation time for cooking: 30 mins

Serving: 2 pax

Vegetarian Fried Noodle in Rice-cooker

Vegetarian Fried Noodle
This is a vegetarian dish, very nice & tasty
                                                 
Ingredients:

1. Koka Noodle  x 150g
2. Cabbage  x 100g (pre-cut)
3. Baked beans from can x 250g
4. Tomato x 50g (pre-cut)
5. Water x 300ml
6. Soya sauce x 1/2 tbsp


Procedure:
1. Boil 300ml of water in a rice-cooker
2. Add soya sauce
3. Add cabbage into the rice-cooker & cook for about 5 mins
4. Add Koka noodle into the rice-cooker & cook for about 2 mins
5. Add baked beans into the rice-cooker and cook for another 2 mins
6. Stir the ingredients together
7. Turn-off the rice-cooker power & leave it for at least 5 mins
8. Food is ready now

note:
when opening the rice-cooker cover, avoid any water from dripping onto the heating plate


Preparation time for cooking: 20mins

Serving: 2 pax

From Guest: Fried Geen Pepper with Chicken Meat

Fried Green Pepper with Chicken Meat

This dish is done by my guest and I'll like to share with everyone.


Ingredients:

1. Green pepper x 100g (pre-cut)
2. Chicken meat  x 200g (pre-cut)
3. Garlic x 20g  (pre-cut)
4. Oyster sause x 1tbsp
5. Soya sauce x 1/2 tbsp
6. Pepper x  1/2tsp
7. Oil x 1 tbsp


Procedure:

1. Mix the chicken meat with oyster sauce, soya sauce & pepper
2. Leave it for at least 1/2 hour and it is ready to cook
3. Heat up the frying pan
4. Add in the oil
5. Add in the garlic and fry till you smell its fragrance
6. Add in the seasoned chicken meat and fry together
7. Add in the green pepper and fry for about 5 mins
8  Dish is ready


Serving: 2 pax

Vegetarian Fried Mee Hoon in Rice-cooker

Fried Mee Hoon in Rice-cooker
This is a vegetarian dish, very nice & tasty


Ingredients:

1. Mee hoon  x 150g
2. Mixed vegetables: carrots, corn, pea  x 50g (pre-cut)
3. Button mushrooms x 200g  (pre-cut)
4. Tomato x 50g (pre-cut)
5. Water x 300ml
6. Soya sauce x 1/2 tbsp
7. Vegetarian oyster sauce x 1 tbsp
8. Sesame oil x 1 tsp

Procedure:
1. Boil 300ml of water in a rice-cooker
2. Add vegetarian oyster sauce, soya sauce
3. Add mixed vegetables, button mushrooms into the rice-cooker & cook for about 5 mins
4. Add mee hoon into the rice-cooker & cook for about 3 mins
5. Add tomatos into the rice-cooker and stir the ingredients together
6. Cook for another 2 mins
7. Turn-off the rice-cooker power & leave it for at least 5mins
8. Add in the sesame oil before serving

note:

Kuay Teow Soup with chinese lettuce
& chicken sausage



A very simple dish & it is easy to prepare
Ingredients:

1. Kuay Teow Noodle  x 130g
2. Chicken Sausage  x 100g (pre-cut)
3. Chinese Lettuce x 100g  (pre-cut)
4. Water x 1200 ml
5. Salt x 1 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

A.  Prepare the kuay teow noodle
      1. Boil the 700ml of water in a pot
      2. Add in 1 tsp of salt in the pot
      3. Put the kuay teow noodle into the pot
      4. Turn off the stove & drain the water away when the kuay teow noodle has softened
      5. Place in a bowl for the soup

B   Prepare the soup
     1. Boil the 500ml of water in a pot
     2. Add chinese lettuce into the boiling water
     3. Add chicken sausage into the pot
     4. Add 1/2 tsp of salt
     5. Cook for about 10 mins & turn off the stove

C  Combine the kuay teow noodle & the soup
     1. Pour the soup into the bowl of kuay teow noodle
     2. Food is ready to serve

Preparation time for cooking: 35 mins

Serving: 2 pax
